Water and Sewer
Obtaining water and sewer utility service at your site will depend on site location.  Municipal water and sewer service is available to most areas within the township, but there are exceptions, so you will need to check with your local water/sewer authority.  See our Water and Sewer Sewer Service for more information.

If municipal water is not available, you would need to drill a well.  Currently there is no permit process for the drilling of a well within Old Lycoming, McIntrye and Eldred Townships.
It is recommended that a well be drilled before construction of a new building to make sure that the water supply is sufficient for the site and be tested for quality.

If municipal sewage is not available, you will need to have a sewage system designed.  The design of this system will be impacted by the results of the on-site deep probe and perc tests.

Identifying how (or if) you will be obtaining water and managing sewage is neccessary to the building permit process.

Electric Power
Obtaining power is not a requirement of the building permit process.  It is the responsibility of the owner to make arrangements with one of three providers, depending on their geographical location.  Regional providers are PPL and Tri-County REC.   Lead time for electric service is usually about 30 days.
Service application forms must be obtained from the utility.
